Day 1: Canada - Madrid (Spain)
Flight with a good itinerary.
Day 2: Madrid
Arrival at the airport in Madrid. You will be greeted by our local representatives after exiting the customs and transferred to your hotel in Madrid. The rest of your day is free for you to relax or start your exploration of the city of Madrid.
Day 3: Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will discover Madrid, one of the youngest capitals in Europe, a vibrant and captivating city. The Spanish capital stands out for its heritage from the reign of the Habsburg and Bourbon dynasties, the abundance of small districts each with their own village atmosphere, and its cultural offer including the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums.
Enjoy an interesting walking tour through the heart of Madrid and admire the Gran Via, Plaza de España, the remarkable Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcalá, and even the oldest restaurant in the world. Your tour includes a visit of the Royal Palace where your professional tour guide will provide you with anecdotes. After the guided visit, feel free to take a stroll through the Royal Gardens and visit other highlights such as the Royal Armory and Pharmacy. (Breakfast)
Day 4: Madrid - Costa del Sol
Following breakfast, transfer to the train station for the departure toward Malaga on a high-speed train. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Take advantage of the rest of the day to get to know this popular beach destination, where you can enjoy sangria and tapas before going on an evening stroll by the Mediterranean Sea. Day 5: Seville
Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning, sightseeing tour by bus of Seville, the Andalusian capital and the largest city in southern Spain. The only name of Seville evokes sunshine, tapas, flamenco, and bullfighting. The city also has many architectural gems, a mixture of Gothic and Moorish style, that are witnesses of the Muslim conquest of Spain in the Middle Ages. During this sightseeing tour you will stop for 30 minutes in the sumptuous Plaza de España, the most famous of the pavilions of the 1929 exhibition, to admire the magnificent ornaments with azulejos.
Afterwards you will meet your local guide to start the guided tour including the precious Quarter of Santa Cruz, with its typical cobbled streets and flowered terraces, the Gate of Jerez, and the historical centre with Seville Cathedral and its famous Giralda Tower, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour will continue inside the cathedral where you will have the opportunity to admire Christopher Columbus’ tomb and the Patio of the Orange Trees. After the guided tour, you will have at least 2,5 hours free to continue the visit on your own, go for a walk, do your shopping, etc. At the time and place set by our guide, the bus will take you back to the Costa del Sol. Days 6 & 7: Costa del Sol
All breakfasts at the hotel. Enjoy 2 days at leisure to explore the region at your convenience or opt for optional excursions ($). Andalusia is the most populous autonomous region in Spain, and it attracts millions of tourists every year who are charmed by the architectural wonders inherited from the Muslim conquest of Spain in the Middle Ages.
Set in a majestic environment at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Granada is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Opt for a full-day tour of Granada ($) including the visit of the stunning Alhambra Palace and its Generalife gardens, the most prestigious example of the Muslim presence in Spain and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also be charmed by the troglodyte houses, dug in the rock at Sacromonte, which are still hosting some intimate flamenco shows. Save some time to relax at some of the best beaches in Spain, bustling with bars and restaurants. (Breakfasts-Dinners)
Day 8: Costa del Sol - Barcelona
Following breakfast, transfer to the train station for the departure toward Barcelona on a high-speed train. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free to start your exploration of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia and one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. (Breakfast)
Day 9: Barcelona
After breakfast, half-day tour of Barcelona’s most distinctive sites. A specialized guide will provide a complete picture of Barcelona as you travel on a route that takes in the highlights of the city. First, you will admire the Barcelona skyline from Montjuic Mountain before your guide shows you important buildings such as those related to the 1992 Olympics. Heading down the mountain to the waterfront, you will see Columbus Monument near the iconic La Rambla. Then, you will have the opportunity to explore parts of the Roman and medieval quarters. To appreciate the contrasts of Barcelona, you will also visit Passeig de Gracia, the street where you will find the most striking facades of private Modernist architecture by Antoni Gaudí such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
Finally, the tour takes you to the Eixample district, an extension of the Old Town that was designed for the orderly growth of the city. The regular streets, the revolutionary form of its blocks, and the variety of architectural styles are prevalent right up to the point you reach the iconic cathedral, La Sagrada Familia. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about the history of the Cathedral and will provide the keys to understanding the mystical symbolism of this important structure. (Breakfast)
Day 10: Barcelona
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day at leisure to continue your exploration of Barcelona at your convenience. Surrounded by a long promenade lined with palm trees and San Sebastia beach on one side, and the Old Gothic quarter on the other side, the former fishing district of La Barceloneta surprises by its authenticity. Today, it is bustling with bars and restaurants and it's a popular meeting place for both locals and tourists. (Breakfast)
Day 11: Barcelona - Canada
After breakfast, greeting in the lobby of your hotel by our local representatives and transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast)
