Day 1: Canada - Madrid (Spain)
Flight with a good itinerary.
Day 2: Madrid
Arrival at the airport in Madrid. You will be greeted by our local representatives after exiting the customs and transferred to your hotel in Madrid. The rest of your day is free for you to relax or start your exploration of Madrid.
Day 3: Madrid - Caceres - Seville
After breakfast at the hotel, you will leave Madrid for the border with Spain and continue to Caceres, a medieval city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time to explore the fortified old town and admire the stately homes of Gothic and Renaissance styles built between the 14th and the 18th century. Locals meet at sunset around the beautiful Plaza Mayor to share some delicacies. Continuation southward to Andalusia. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 4: Seville
Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning, guided city tour of Seville, the Andalusian capital and the largest city in southern Spain. The only name of Seville evokes sunshine, tapas, flamenco and bullfighting. The city also has many architectural gems, a mixture of Gothic and Moorish style, that are witnesses of the Muslim conquest of Spain in the Middle Ages.
You will visit Seville Cathedral and the Giralda Tower, symbols of the Moorish style, the sumptuous Plaza de España, and María Luisa Park, one of the largest in Seville. You will also see Santa Cruz district, with its typical cobbled streets and flowered terraces, which becomes effervescent after sunset. Afternoon and evening free to continue your exploration of Seville. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 5: Seville - Cordoba
Following breakfast at the hotel, departure toward Cordoba through the large plains of La Mancha. Cordoba is a true crossroad of cultures. Founded by the Romans, the city was transformed by the Jewish, Muslim and Catholic communities who occupied it over several centuries. Today, the city retains an undeniable authenticity and charm with its whitewashed buildings, its shaded squares and its flowered patios.
On this sightseeing tour, you will visit the emblem of its past greatness, the magnificent mosque-cathedral (Mezquita-Catedral) built as a mosque in 784 and which became a Catholic church in 1236. This building alone marks the peak of the Muslim occupation in Spain. You will also visit the Juderia, the old Jewish quarter of Cordoba, developed in the Middle-Ages in a maze of small alleys around the mosque-cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Cordoba. Day 6: Cordoba - Ronda - Costa del Sol
Breakfast and departure via the Route of the White Villages to Ronda, a city crossed in its center by the Guadelevin river carving out a steep 100-meter deep canyon. Free time to explore the old town and admire the breathtaking view from the Puente Nuevo bridge. Continuation toward the Costa del Sol where you will be able to enjoy an evening stroll by the Mediterranean Sea. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 7: Costa del Sol - Tarifa (Spain) - Tangier (Morocco) - Fez
After breakfast, departure for Tarifa to board the ferry to Morocco via the Strait of Gibraltar. Arrival in Tangier and continuation to Fez where you will spend the night. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 8: Fez
Breakfast at the hotel. Half-day guided tour of Fez, the most ancient cultural and spiritual city of Morocco. You will start with the medieval medina, the old city of Fez founded in the 8th century, where some of the most beautiful buildings in the country can be found such as the Andalusian mosque and the al-Quarawiyyin mosque. You will also see madrasas, which are old religious schools and universities from the Middle-Ages, and the quarter of tanners where you will see different craftsmen still operating in the old oriental tradition. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the medina at your own pace. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 9: Fez - Meknes - Rabat - Tangier
Following breakfast, departure toward Meknes, known as the "Moroccan Versailles", an old imperial city famous for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bab Mansour, the most preserved old gate in Morocco. Panoramic tour of this city founded at the end of the 17th century by Moulay Ismail, a Sultan of Morocco. Continuation to Rabat, capital of the Kingdom of Morocco and official residence of the king. On this panoramic tour you will see UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Royal Palace, the Splendid Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower, minaret and symbol of this city. Arrival in Tangier in the late afternoon. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 10: Tangier (Morocco) - Costa del Sol (Spain)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the port of Tangier to board the ferry and cross the Strait of Gibraltar toward Spain. Arrival on the Costa del Sol for a relaxing evening by the Mediterranean Sea. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 11: Costa del Sol - Granada
Following breakfast at the hotel, departure toward Granada, the jewel of Andalusia. Set in a majestic environment at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Granada is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Its historical and cultural heritage attract visitors from all around the world.
During your visit, your will be amazed by the stunning Alhambra Palace and its Generalife gardens, the most prestigious example of the Muslim presence in Spain and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also be charmed by the troglodyte houses, dug in the rock at Sacromonte, which are still hosting some intimate flamenco shows. Dinner and overnight in Granada. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 12: Granada - Toledo - Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the former capital of Spain, Toledo. This magnificent city is located on a mountaintop surrounded by a bend of the river Tagus. Guided tour of the fortified old town where you will be awestruck by the detailed facades of monuments such as the Synagogue of Santa Maria, the Alcazar and the Jewish Quarter. Then, continuation to Madrid. Overnight in Madrid. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 13: Madrid
After breakfast at the hotel, you will discover Madrid, one of the youngest capitals in Europe, a vibrant and captivating city. The Spanish capital stands out for its ancient heritage inherited from the reign of the Habsburg and Bourbon dynasties, the abundance of small districts, each with their own village atmosphere, and its cultural offer, including the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums.
Enjoy an interesting panoramic tour of Madrid including the Gran Via and Plaza de España, the remarkable Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcalá, and the legendary Real Madrid stadium, Santiago Bernabéu. Afternoon and evening free to continue your exploration of Madrid. (Breakfast)
Day 14: Madrid - Canada
After breakfast, greeting in the lobby of your hotel by our local representatives and transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast)
